Wolff, Wilson, Miculek. The main and rebound springs should be changed together to maintain the proper "balance". If it needs action work (i.e. internal smoothing), now's the time to do it (or have it done). I'm sure you know to test for reliability afterward.

So, I assume you're referring to the single action sear here? If you've got push-off issues after "reworking" the (SA) sear, you need a new hammer, methinks. Personally, I'd never touch the SA sear.
