Just saw this on GOA's website.

We need to jump on this NOW!!
I'm afraid that because Dingle has powerful contacts in the NRA, they will give this a pass, even support it!!
I've sent the letter to my congress critter. Everyone here MUST do the same!!
I'm sending in my money to the GOA to join today!!

Letter sent.

GOA makes this easier than falling off a log. Come on folks, we may only get one chance to do this right.

Rep. McCarthy admitted to the Post that her "crusades" for more gun control have made her voice "toxic" in gun circles. "So Dingell is handling negotiations with the NRA," the newspaper reported. "Dingell is also in talks with Sens. Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah) and Ted Stevens (R-Alaska), House Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) and Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner (Wis.), the senior Republican on the House Judiciary Committee."

Everyone, run for your lives - it's a stampede of RINOs! :barf:

Thanks for the heads up - I will write my critters and forward via email to friends who own guns.

From the posting:
Then why, after passing all of their gun control, do countries like Canada and Germany still have school shootings? Even the infamous schoolyard massacre which occurred in Ireland in 1997 took place in a country that, at that time, had far more stringent gun controls than we do.

If they are going to beat the drum to mobilize the troops they should at least get their facts straight. Dunblane is in Scotland and the shooting occurred in March of 1996.

Notwithstanding the fact that John Dingell is NOT my congress critter, I phoned his D.C. office yesterday, thanking him for past support, while warning or attempting to so do, re his cooperation with an avowed anti gunner like Carolyn McCarthy.

I guess that my call will at least end up on some sort on tally sheet. In any event, I will bring this to the attention of my own congressional rep. Others should also.
