I am looking to buy a small carry gun but want at least 10 rds.I purchased a
Ruger LC9s and it is just to small.Shoots great and never a ftf + 300 rds.Just want a little more gun in my hands. If you own or have shot the CZ 2075 Rami in 9 mm would like to hear from you.Info on other guns in this size will also be appreciated.
Thanks
Rick

I have owned a Ruger LC9s and I'll be honest I didn't shoot it all that well mainly because of its small size. I went to a Shield and it fit my hand much better and I shot it much better after an Apex kit, but now I miss the size of the Ruger for concealability! I just can't be pleased! lol I would love a Rami. I love CZ's products but man that seems like it would be awfully heavy to me.

The SR9c is the next size up from Ruger. I carry mine nearly every day and have for several years. It is an excellent pistol IMO.

rick,

I've got the CZ 9mm Rami as well as a number of other 9mm carry guns. For me the Rami is too short and fat in the grip to carry. For a 9mm single stack (only 8 rounds but I carry an extra mag) I use the SW 3913/3914 platform or the Sig 239. For a double stack 9mm (12 rounds) I like the SW 6906. I've carried the CZ 75 compact (14 rounds) but with its all steel frame and slide it's a bit heavy. The CZ PCR (mentioned by another poster) is an aluminum framed 9mm the same size as the CZ 75 compact and seems like a good option. Good luck.

I joined this forum because I had problems with my lcp, and after browsing for awhile I've decided I'm getting a shield. Got to shoot one today, they are amazing. They are a great size too. Not too small, not too big.

Check out the S&W-M&P Shield 9.---nice weapon. If you gotta have 10 round plus capacity look at the M&P 9 compact. also a very nice reliable American made weapon.

I’ve been very happy with the GLOCK G26. It’s small and lightweight, but really shoots like a full-size gun. It can also use all GLOCK magazines up to the 33 rounder.

I have been completely satisfied with my G26, as well. It shoots very well and conceals easily.

If a hammer and a DA/SA trigger is preferred, though, it is hard to find anyone dissatisfied with CZs. I don't have first hand experience with it, but I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up.

I was looking for a 10+ capacity for a carry gun when I got my first pistol and I chose an XD9 mod 2, 9mm. It's a double stack 13+1 and extended mag at 16+1. It's small, compact, good shooter (though I want to get a new trigger for it), and only downsize is weight probably.

Since then, I've gotten a Walther PPS 9mm, much more comfortable, I'm a lot more accurate with it, and it holds 7+1 or 8+1 depending on the mag. If you can get away with 9 shots, then I HIGHLY recommend the PPS.

I carry a Glock 23 every day. It's amazingly concealble with plenty of mass for a controllable package. You should hard at the Glock 19.

Taurus PT111 Millennium G2 . . . same size as a Shield but 12+1 capacity with the standard magazine (and comes with 2 magazines) . . . very reliable, accurate (adjustable rear sight) and inexpensive.

Beretta PX4 SubCompact

Beretta PX4 SubCompact is a tight little pistol.

13 rounds, easy to conceal, soft shooting, and has been perfectly reliable.

I'll second the recommendation for a PT111 G2. I love mine. 12+1, but only about 1/4" wider than most of the newer single stacks. It carries well IWB, and it hasn't given me any reason to complain about it in the year and a half I have had it. Add in a really attractive price, and you just can't go wrong.
