Just received a dueling tree--any rules?

I was given a Do-All .22 Roundup Dueling Tree as a "thank you." I intend to follow the instructions that came with it (rimfire only, lead nose bullets only, etc.). This will be my first time shooting at one; looks like it should be fun. Anyone have any experience with dueling trees, and particularly the Do-All? Do you limit your matches to time, round count, or what? I can see several scoring variation possibilies. If I follow the 25 yd. minimum recommended distance for pistol, I intend to use my red dot equipped ones. Manual says 100 yd. minimum for rifle. With my 66-year-old corrected eyes, that'll be scoped from bench (I have a bolt, a semi and a lever I keep zeroed at that distance). Any input will be appreciated.
