I had to pawn my Colt M16 22lr Magpole mil spec hand guard, and 4 30 round magazines to get the money.

The battery life feature is very handy. I took a rifle out of it's case to show a friend a few days ago and discovered the dot was on. It had been out for sightin in October so basically left on for 2 1/2 months and I can't remember when I put a new battery in.
I have several AimPoints including a couple of the 2x versions to improve longer range accuracy. They beat the heck out of most other dot sights IMHO. Very little "halo" around the dot.

I have a no longer working Aimpoint 1000. When it worked I used on my Ruger Redhawk .44 mag. and really liked it. Battery failure was a problem and replacement were outrageously expensive.
They are improved, you should like. I would consider another Aimpoint.

I'm confused....

On Jan 07th you posted picks ( post 17 )of a blued mini 14 with a Nikon scope in this thread: http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=468936

Then you later posted a pic of a stainless mini ( post 23) with an aimpoint later in the same thread....on Jan 07,2011

Now, you've posted the same stainless mini/ aimpoint pic, and claiming you just brought it?

I am just a bit confused....

Yep... I like the Nikon, and I was going to pawn that too... It has a weight issue. I want to keep my system as light as possible.

But I cant part with the Nikon. It is too good.
