I didn't realize they came with only 1 magazine. Nice cardboard box, too :). The size and price are right, and I'm hoping to give it a try this weekend. For a price datapoint for those looking, I paid $249.

EricM - I'm looking forward to your GOOD report, as a local shop has a few new ones for $239 and I'm looking for an excuse!

Spare mags direct from Kel-Tec are about $20. They also sell grip adapters that let you use some S&W mags.

Not to cast aspersions on your dealer, but does anyone know whether one or two mags is standard for NIB Kel-Tecs? I have heard of dealers removing the second mag to seell separately.

Suggest you check on the KTOG.ORG web site for the Fluff and Bluff recommendations. My personal procedure is to do the F & B on ANY new gun BEFORE I take it to the range.

Kel-Tecs come with just one magazine. I second the suggestion to fluff & buff, at least do the feed ramp. Lube the slide rails and the hammer / slide interface.
While you're ordering a spare magazine, you'll want to get a trigger shoe and a grip extender. The trigger shoe really does help. If you don't have snap caps, get some. The P-11 trigger is probably very different from anything you've previously shot & you'll want to practice dry-firing. Kel-Tec's website is www.kel-tec.com and also the previously mentioned www.ktog.org (kel-tec owners group).
check out the "tec works" section for instructions and illustrations on f&b and other modifications. you may want to try the white trigger stop also.
get on the e-groups forum at the kel-tec owners group site too. lots of great technical advice from some real pros.

I recently got to check out a new P-11 and put 50rds. or so throught it. I have to say they`re made much better now than my old one. I was planning on doing the F&B to it but it simply doesn`t need it. I installed the belt clip for the new owner and will be adding a trigger shoe later as a matter of his personal preference and that`ll be it. My old P-11 has the full F&B done to it. It worked 100% out of the box but Keltecs are so simple they just beg to be tinkered with. While it functioned fine before it`s quite a bit smoother and somewhat more pleasant to shoot after the mods. One last thing, try a very light coat of grease to lube the frame rails and hammer interface rather than oil. I picked this tip up during the KTOG "Grease Wars" and it`s served me well. With almost 5000rds.(including many +Ps) through it mine is as tight as new and has no discernable wear at all except to the finish. Marcus
