Just my luck

Wouldn't you know, I went to the gun show today in Tucson and found one of the guns thats on my list of guns to have. It was an EEA Witness in .45, new and was ported for $345. The bad news is that my financial situation wouldn't allow the purchase. I told the wifey I was gonna trade one of my other pieces for it and she told me if one of my already purchased guns leaves the house then I will have to also. 1 Of her golden rules, If you buy a gun you will not sell or trade for another. She said I have to buy it outright and since Im basically broke till the end of the month and with Christmas coming Im pretty much outta luck on buying another piece till then new year. Im bummin. :(

Sounds like a darn good rule.

I've only owned one handgun, but I've owned several guitars. Every time I look back on a guitar I've sold or traded I have regrets (I really miss the 1935 Martin 0-16 I sold a few years back :( ).

Sure you missed the good deal, but someday you'll have both the gun you want and the one you'd have sold :)

FWIW, I think that wife is a keeper! :) I agree with her assessment, if you liked it well enough to buy it, keep it.

I was gonna say...

Good wife! my girl won't let me trade anything out either. Just keep savin. If it means eating Ramen instead of steak or Filiberto's instead of Red Lobster, so be it...

Sounds like a couple of wives are tired of hearing the belly-aching that occupies remaining history every time their hubby parts with anything ;)
