...who needed to sell some guns to raise a little cash.
I was offered two guns, a Winchester 1200 12 Ga (in which I had no interest), and Ruger P89, in which I do.
To make a long story short(er), I bought 'em both for $300, promptly sold the shotgun for $150, and now have a P89 that I'm into for a buck-and-a-half.
To digress just a bit, I shoot bullseye pistol almost exclusively. I sorta fart around with my mil-surp rifles and my 10/22, but I'm a bullseye pistol shooter at heart...and mind
So here I go off to the range yesterday and try to wrap my body into something approaching an isoceles triangle, and grab the gun with two hands (who came up with THAT idea?), and shot at a target a mere 7 yards away.
I'd never shot this gun before, so the only thing I have to compare the trigger to is my High Standard Victor (2 lbs) or my Taurus PT1911 (3.5). I was afraid at first I'd have to use two fingers on the trigger, but that feeling went away in short order. I didn't have the allen wrench with me to adjust the rear sight for windage, so here's what I did with ten rounds.
I'd take myself off the line if I shot like that in my bullseye league, though I don't suppose a Bad Guy would feel that way from across my living room...
Certainly more practice is indicated, as I need to speed up my shot time and improve my accuracy.
All the best,
Rob
