CNN - Trying to get organized, Duval County person is asking if any other county (in FL history) has undergone the culling of "under-ballots" from the county's general ballot total. Duval has 200k plus to screen.
The person mentioned that they have software and hardware coming up to help them do this. [I understand that the software stops the counting machine on reading an undervote and the card must be manually retrieved and machine again continues.]
I can see it now... Miami-Dade has the software - in this "hot" period they copy the software and, being nice guys, they send it to other counties. Somewhere shortly (after the recount process is in full swing), the software company, looking at their original agreement with the Miami-Dade "customer", finds that they agreed NOT to copy, distribute, et cetera, et cetera - violating the agreement. Software company sues, the recount is fouled, the election is still stalled.
You software moguls out there - answer up. Am I totally off the mark???
