Thanks for all the advice guys! Just tried out my new Ruger 22/45 and let me tell ya, it was a tackdriver right outta the box! No break-in jams, not even a hiccup, I only got to shoot about a box and a half of ammo so far but I must say I am in love with it. Shot it two handed, left handed, one handed and it just keeps right on impressing the hell outta me :D
I will keep you up to date.

Glad you are pleased, it will bring enjoyment for many years and many, many rounds. I just love my 4" blued bull barrel. What did you get? Blued or stainless and what barrel?

I have a stainless version w/ Millett sights that I bought used for $150 that is superb!! :cool: !!

BTW - I used Brownell's "Action Magic II" on the action and it decreased the trigger pull by 1.5 pounds.

I added a Hogue Grip-All or whatever they call it that is a rubber slip on grip cover with finger grooves built in. Really helps with the slippery plastic grip!!

Added a cheap Simmons red dot sight (~$25 @ Natchez on sale) with a pre-owned B-Square clamp-on mount and this combo will put 10 shots through the same hole @ 50'.

Enjoy!! They are a real shooter!! Tight groups ...
 
I had a blued 6 and 7/8" barrel and it even shot Rem Thunderbolts well. Regret selling it. Would have been a great rabbit/grouse gun.
