i just got my new 93R17GLV im looking at new scopes. im really leaning towards Leupold an this scope-Leupold VX-I 3-9x40mm Gloss Duplex. does anyone have experience with these or any other very good scopes?

What are you going to do with it, hunting or target shooting? I would look at Mueller, they have excellent rimfire scopes, some with quite high magnifications for target shooting. Many also have AO adjustments. Decent scopes for good prices. Sightron is also a good brand to look at.

I got the Leupold Mark AR 3-9x40 from sportoptics...it's really nice...for $20 more, you can get the long range duplex

For a hunting rifle, look at the Mueller APV, 4-14x40 AO. It's a great scope and thought very well of at Rimfirecentral last time I checked.

Mueller APV, 4-14x40 AO.

Excellent glass, more clear edge to edge then my Nikon Monarch, diffcult to believe but true, placed them side by side in various light and the Mueller is better.

Mueller is pretty good for a $130 Scope. If you can afford more Im fond of the Weaver V16 and V24. My CZ is wearing a V24 currently.

I`m definately a Leupold fan, I have abt. 40 of them. My favorite for the 22 rimfire is a 2 1/2 x 7 with the parlex set for the rimfire. The 17 rimfire are kind of inbetween. The main thing is that if you can keep your eye in exactly the same place behind the scope parlex will not bother you no matter what it is set at.

I put a weaver rimfire 2-7 on my 17 HMR and its really nice. Easily hit rabbits and such at 150 yds. I have it in Warne maxima rings.

I have a Savage 93R17 BTVS. Don't think I've missed a squirrel yet with it. When I bought it I bought a plain jane Nikon Pro Staff 3x9. Even though I'm a huge leupold fan, the Nikon pro staff has worked great.
