Just got back from "Gladiator"

I just got back from the new movie Gladiator and just wanted to let you know that it's not too bad at all. Don't let some grouchy review artist turn you away from this one, it's well worth seeing.

I am not a grouchy reviewer, but I was disappointed. I can't reccomend this movie.

The movie had some flaws, but it was enjoyable. The acting was good, the scenery was better, and the fighting, while brutal, was still more realistic than the crap you see in Lethal Weapon and a host of other hollywood films.

For the most part I liked the movie, but the fight scenes were just a little too choppy for me, and I had trouble determining what was going on. At time it seemed to drag, but the acting and scenery was great.

I'll throw in FYI that I enjoyed the "U-571" movie. It was cool, though somewhat unbelievable at the end.

Just in the same vein, I highly reccomend the movie Frequency with Dennis Quaid. Excellent movie and a home defense shotgun plays a key part.
