. . . entitled "You Can’t Say That! What’s Happening to Free Speech?" The answer seems to be much the same as is happening to RKBA, only a little further behind.

It was great! We really need more of this guy. Hell, we need this guy running ABC News.

Description from www.abcnews.com: John Stossel examines several fronts in the battle between free speech and censorship. He suggests that the answer to hateful or dangerous speech is more speech rather than restrictive laws.

I hope he covers the 2nd Amendment soon, but I doubt his producers will let him.

Oops, that's Stossel, not Stoessel. Can't edit a heading.

Yes, it was an excellent report. The attack on free speech is almost as scary as what is happening to the 2nd Amendment. Our freedoms are being legislated and litigated into oblivion. But then, everyone here already knows that. I'm glad Stossel keeps plugging away. He may be waking up some people who have been day dreaming while their freedoms evaporate.

Thank God for Jhon! Hes one of the many that think our rights are the most important. I suport him and his views, and hope you will
do the same.

It was a very good show.

As the 1st and 2nd amendments are tied so closely together, perhaps we should tie them both to the "countdown clock".

With out one, you can't protect the other.

Stossel is very good. He did a radio piece a couple of weeks ago about how intrusive government regulation destroys freedom. The bureaucrat he interviewed took the position that the goverment is the people, so anything the government does is simply carrying out the common will. Stossel expressed some doubts about tht point of view. Stossel has a lot of integrity, so I expect ABC to get rid of him pretty soon.

BTW, I once heard Hugh Downs give an excellent, highly skeptical piece on the logic of gun control.
