Just brought home my first HK VP9! (Brand New) I initially went to my local shop to look for a new EDC; however, I laid my eyes on this and the rest is history...Quick question for you folks, everything looks so clean fit and finish wise on this firearm, i did however notice some some brass marks around the ejection port. I guess this was from the initial test fire at the factory? I attached a pic. I will let you know how she shoots this weekend!

I have a USP .45 with several hundred rounds through it (HK is a great pistol BTW). I've never noticed that... mine still looks new. Have you tried cleaning it off?

I had my 2003 HK USP V1 9mm for over a month (got it on a trade) and I love it. Well made, deadly accurate and soft shooting.

The guy I got it from said he shot a couple of boxes and carried it on his security job then put in the safe after he got a 686. Inspection showed no/little wear so it seemed he spoke the truth.

Good German engineering. :)

If you properly lube all the wear points with quality lube it'll still look new after thousands of rounds.

Congrats on your purchase. I got mine last Monday, and put about 200 rounds through it so far. It is one of my favorite pistols.

HK's are my favorite handguns. I have 4 including a VP9. That gun will outlast you. The brass marks are normal. Congrats on your purchase.

The brass marks are normal enough, but not always there. I have 10 HK's, all bought new, only three had the brass marks.
