Just bought an unfired Howa 1500 SS 30-06 Good deal?

Paid $350 for it. It appears to have a different stock from the Hogue black synthetic. It looks like the same one in a factory pic listing not saying Hogue. Is it a lower quality stock? Anyways, prices I saw online were $480 on GB and $560 at Able's. I think I got a good. What about you guys?:D
 
If you shoot it and it doesn't group right, then I've got something for you to check. One of my hunting buddies bought one that wouldn't group for crap. He brought it over to our other buddy who is a good garage gunsmith. He found that the stock inlays were so poorly cut that the receiver was torquing every time it fired. Plus, the barrel channel was not relieved enough to float the barrel. A few minutes with some sandpaper and a little bedding compound to get the action setting right and it shoots beautifully now.,
