Just bought a new Sig 229

I just bought a Sig P229 new in the box with two mags for $529.00. I'm thinking that this was a good deal but I'm not quite sure. Maybe the people from TFL can give me some imput.

Just to let you know, I rented this gun at my local range and fell in love with the 40cal. Thanks in advance.:)
 
That was a fabulous deal -- about $100.00 under what most folks are paying for a Nitron finish with two 10 round mags, standard (bar/dot) sights and a factory plastic case. Hope they threw in one of those funky Chinese-made trigger locks! Makes a great paper weight.
 
That was a good price. I just bought one with night sites and gave a good bit more for it.They sure do have a good feel to them , Don't they!:)
 
Congrat's on your purchase of a Sig-

undoubtedly one of the finest handguns ever
made.:D I prefer the 9m/m P228, over the .40
caliber P229; as the 229 just feels top heavy
to me.:D The standard by which other Sig's are
judged is; of course, the P220!!!:) Enjoy.

Congrats on the 229 purchase, you got a very good deal.

Remember to keep the steel parts oiled. Sigs, at least those I've owned (2-229s, 1-239, 1-220), all liked to rust on the hammer and the grip screws when carried every day in hot weather. :eek:
 
That price is well below dealer wholesale.

Congratulations! You've bought the finest, out-of-the box combat pistol in the world.:cool:

Now go find a couple of factory 12-rounders with the money you saved...they aren't gettin' any cheaper.
 
A good buy.

Now take the $100 you saved and buy an add-on .357Sig barrel for some real combo-shootin' fun!
