Just as I predicted, Oakland bans sales of Kel-tec P32 and other small guns

No surprise there, but it does re-iterate my personal opinion that reliable, combat-worthy arms ought to be first on the shopping list, with special attention paid to concealability of sidearms. Recreational firearms ought to take the beack seat to combat and training tools. That means no cowboy sixshooters or falling block single-shot rifles or O/U shotguns for me. Wonder if the Oakland worthies truly meant to provide such a motivation...

Oakland's ban prohibits the sale of handguns smaller than 6 3/4 inches long
or 4 1/2 inches high.

If I recall correctly, Austria-Hungary had similar laws. Canada has worse. Some bed-fellows for a supposedely American state.

I thought there were some sort of pre-emption laws that prevented these little tin dictators at the county and city levels from passing such laws. Everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and we have a battle at every front and on every level of gov't.

Isn't Jerry "Moon Beam" Brown Mayor of Oakland? This is only the first of what promises many more bans.

Expect to see things get dramitaccly worse if Gore takes it in November.

So many pistols, so little money.

Sure, you'll have some nice guns to bury; but what will your children take to a public range? Your grandchildren?

THIS is the struggle.

Battler.

You know its funny, the only close friend I've had thats been shot happened in in Oakland. He was out on a walk with his girlfriend, the kid that shot him had used a gun that was stolen from the Oakland police department. Figures. God forbid he had a "small concealable handgun" on him at the time. He might be alive today.
