Just another price question...

Today I stumbled across a Smith and Wesson 65LS, 3" barrel, in a matte finish, brand new in box, with a matching gun rug. Is $399.00 a good price for this gun? I KNOW it has "Ladysmith" on the right side, but I'd carry it anytime.

Yes. Buy it.

1. It's a bit high (unless it is NIB). If private party sale, offer $325 and go from there. If from a shop, see if dealer will go down 10% ($360). Or offer full price for weapon and see if he'll throw in a box or two of ammo, or speedloaders, etc..

2. IMHO, the 65/65LS is one of the most cleanly designed .357s ever made. Form, Function, Shootability...all outstanding.

3. S&W will shortly quit making the K-frame .357s. They will only increase in price over the years.

4. Even if you pay full price (plus tax), you've still have a great revolver and will forget the minor tariff over the next few years of enjoyment. At $399, I doubt that it will sit there much longer...

Triangle

Not a problem getting a "Ladysmith", as a matter of fact the Ladysmith 9MM compact has a slimmer frame profile than the standard gun it was derived from. Lots of guys prefer that model for ccw. But someone in your life might have a problem with the fact that you have a new "right hand lady" traveling with you everywhere!

I picked up one for $410 NIB, it's a great gun. The overall fit and finish as well as function seems smoother than a regular M65, however the M65 NIB is like $30 cheaper.

If it's still in pretty new condition I'd offer $399 straight up out the door price

I just noticed you said NIB, BUY IT!!!
