In order to protect our members and TFL from possible litigation, all members must abide by the following new rules:

    1. Copying and pasting entire articles from another site to TFL is strictly prohibited. The same applies to articles from print or other media, and to posting photographs taken of copyrighted pages or other media.

    2. Copyright law provides for “fair use” of portions of a copyrighted work. You can copy no more than a SINGLE paragraph from the article to your post (3 or 4 sentences at most).

    3. You must provide a link to the article along with the name of website. For example: ww.xxx.yyy/zzz (The Lower Thumbsuck Daily News).

    4. You must provide, in your own words, a brief summary of the article AND your reasons for believing it will be of interest to TFL members. Failure to do so may result in the thread being closed or your post being deleted as a “cut and paste drive by.”

    5. Photographs and other images are also copyrighted. "Hotlinking" of images (so that it appears in your message) from other sites is also prohibited unless you own rights to the image. If you wish to share an image, provide a clickable link to it.

Posts that do not follow these new guidelines will be altered or deleted by staff. Members who continue to violate this policy may lose their posting privileges at TFL.

Thank you for your cooperation and your participation in TFL, the leading online forum for firearms enthusiasts.

junior, senior?...I'm curious as to how this works

WIL TERRY

New member
I've been on this board [ site? ] for a month or so now. I started off as a junior member...then went to member...and now I'm all the way to senior member. DAMN! I could've made brig/gen by 19 at that rate. So how does this work? Who makes those decisions? And how soon will I make SUPER HIGH POTENTATE MEMBER?
Are there any other IOOF members on this board? That's the INTERNATIONAL ORDER of OLD FARTS, by the way.

I think its all a matter of how many posts you make,You make so many for each member jump.

I'm old and deceitful.

Terry, you have been on for about a month and a half and have made 17 posts. I think that once you hit 15 you make senior member. Unless Rich has figured out a way to look through the internet and see how old you are? Nah, that couldn't be it. :)

Terry, if you want to make High Potentiate without benefit of the training and posting, not to mention the obstacle course, I have the authority to grant the title. Just send me a check for $25 dollars U.S. (money order or PayPal) and I will e-grant your status. Don't worry about checking with Rich on this, he knows all about it.... :)

TERRY, I don't think you started out as a Junior Member. The only Junior Members are under 12 years old and we only charge them 1/2 the standard membership fee. As I recall, you paid full admission. ;)

Anyway, let's continue this over in the Suggestions & Questions forum...
