Jump To Last Read Post Rem 1100/1187 with 5 shot extension question

I just measured my 26-in barreled 1100, there's 13-inches from the mag cap to the end of barrel. If you do the rough math: 5 x 2.75 = 13.75. Of course, actual 2-3/4" 12-ga shells are shorter than 2-3/4", more like less than 2 3/8". 5 x 2-3/8 = 11-7/8" YMMV
 
had a 1100 W/ 26" barrel and 5 round extention it stuck out past the barrel less than 1/2" worked fine just got a little powder fowling on the end.
 
Okay thanks. I guess I'll just have to see if it bothers me. We normally dump our guns muzzle down in barrels for three gun so I was hoping that the mag didn't stick out much since I was worried about repeated battering.
 
Here's what I think !

I had one on my 1100 Remington with a 26 inch barrel and it worked great , except it was heavy when loaded ! ;)
