Media reports indicate that Judge Sandra isn't real happy that Bush picked a male to replace her. :(

Seems to me it should be in his view point the best person for the job. I give him credit for doing what he felt was right. Is the new guy the best guy? Time will decide that answer. I also heard the media state Mrs. Bush wanted a woman to be named too??? Being how much I trust the media and it's wonderful way of reporting all sorts of less than 100% true information. Maybe it's true and if it is, does the average American citizen care that Mrs. Bush wanted a lady put into that spot? I elected Mr. Bush and that is the person whom took oath and has the title of President of the United States.


I am surprised a judge of Sandra's quality would make this remark???? ;)
 
Yeah, me too. Whether or not you agree with her, O'Conner's a smart justice. I would have thought that she would be of the "choose the best candidate, not just the best female candidate" school.
 
I'm wondering if O'Connor resigned over the "Kelo v. the City of New London" outrage. She wrote the opinion for the dissenting minority. It makes me wonder...
