The gentleman in the audience got up to leave and she asked if he was bored. He said "Yes" and left. So she asks the Baliff to bring him back in, and asks why he left. He tells her that he doesn't like her attitude towards hunters, so she has him arrested for contempt?

That is outrageous! I cannot believe that judges have that kind of power!

To answer your disbelief, yes, judges have that kind of power. It is called direct contempt. You do not get to act like a spoiled child and throw a tantrum in court. Don't dress like a hilljack and behave yourself in court.

Have seen direct contempt only a couple of times in 11 years of practice, but both times judge allowed individuals to "purge contempt" (apologize) before they went to the cooler.

Was there a judicial complaint on this???
