I've been watching the proceeding in Florida's Leon County court where the Gorons are getting chopped to pieces. (They are trying to get ANOTHER recount).

The judge strikes you as a good ole boy. BIG MISTAKE. Humour and a no-nonsense attitude.

Your assessment is right on, IMO.

To all, if you want to send a note or call, just don't do it tonight. He has a lot of work to do before he gives his ruling in the morning.

Everyone I've heard reporting this evening has been pretty sure Judge Sauls knew what he was going to rule when he left the Court tonight. He is just using the night to formulate and write his legal opinion. And I might add everyone seems to think the Bush/Cheney team is the odds on favorite.
 
I'm anything but an expert, but it seems to me that he has little time to write a legal opinion. It also seems that to find in favor of Gore would be a rather long and detailed decision which would micro-manage a recount. This is a very big job. To simply state that contesting an election requires a strong case and one does not exist will provide eight hours of sleep and a nice breakfast.

I sure hope you fellas are right. I was glued to the set and was most impressed with Bush's lawyers. I couldn't stomach Boies anymore and hit the mute button and computered while he lied and labored away.
Da judge was initially impressive but since he's a democrat I'm leary of what he may come up with as many have a different perspective or what's right and wrong.
