JP Saur & Sohn REVOLOVER info Q's

Okay, would like to get some info on this..... (a friend has one)_

Manufacture: JP Sauer & Sohn revolver
Cal: 38 Special - 6 shot
Barrel: 6 inches, vented rib.
Sights, adjustable.
Model: Trophy Match (says on barrel) I think it looks like a K fame SW

Bought back in the 1970's. The import company is/was in California.

Any how, the books don't list Saurer revolvers.... only semi autos. Any info on this thing? Value, number imported..... why not in the Blue Book of Gun Values (and if it is, where????)

Kaliburz, the handgun you're describing was imported into the USA by Hawes Firearms which was located in Van Nuys, CA. There is a brief listing for Hawes in the Blue Book of Gun Values. The single actions range in value from $130-$250 and the double actions from $175-$295. Hope this helps!

Kaliburz, I believe if you look at the latest edition of The Standard Catalog of Firearms you will find the Hawes Trophy model listed. I don't know why Mr. Fjestad chose not to list each model individually other than he might of felt they were relatively the same in design & value. Just my guess.
