Not John Moses, but his father.
It seems to me the man was quite the firearms inventor himself, but i can't get much specific info on him. I have seen several pictures of Harmonica rifles and mention of other designs, but I can not find any specifics or pictures of his other designs. It seems as much time is given to his son there would be some interest in looking at the work of the father.
 
There is a book I read about John M Browning, it had one complete chapter about Jonathan Browning and his inventions. That is the most I have ever seen about the man who was a major influence on the most prolific firearms inventor in US history.
 
I have read the Wikipedia article.
I was hoping for a little more than 7 short paragraphs. There is a separate article on the harmonica guns. It doesn't have much detail and no technical. No technical info on the other designs.
The only citation listed is:
John Browning & Curt Gentry. John M. Browning, American Gunmaker. New York: Doubleday, 1964. I don't have access and my guess is there is not much more info in the book. If someone has access to a university library or such with his book and it has more info I will go through the extensive trouble of getting a copy or copies of important pages.
The external website cited in Wikipedia has less info than the article.

I've got a book entitled "Jonathan M. Browning, American Gunmaker" by John Browning and Curt Gentry, Library of Congress # 64- 19275. My copy is marked first edition, 12th printing, 1993.

I cannot establish the printing house, but the title page bears the "Browning" logo.

The first chapter is entitled "The Father" and has 21 pages. There is a vague sketch of the "slide rifle" which is likely the harmonica gun you refer , and reference to a "cylinder gun" and a photo, likely from a museum display from the looks of it.
