Jm S&W 625 (rookie needs help)

Guys,
Put about 1000 rounds through this revolver and sent it back to S&W to get it worked on. The pistol came back completely different. Trigger was awesome in both single and double action. I purchased the "Master Revolver Package." Trigger stop worked, chamfered the charge holes, polished the rebound spring, hammer stud and yoke barrel bosses. Detailed lockwork surfaces, stoned the hammer and trigger contact areas, reset the barrel and cylinder gap, and installed a 20%l lighter main spring. Needless to say, my combat scores went way up. The problem is my buddy let me shoot his Les Baer C45wcs match pistol. Sorry, no comparison. " I have got to get me one of those" ;)
I am including a custom made hunter leather holster, Blackhawk soft (in the pants) holster, Hogue recoil absorbing rubber Monogrip (on the pistol) 15 synthetic moon clips and the stock wood JM grip. In the case with manual an lock.
WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY QUESTION--What is a good price to ask for this great pistol? I have $1,300.00 in it. I thought maybe $735.00? I have searched the net over a couple of times, finding nothing to compare it to.

ANY THOUGHTS ON THE SUBJECT WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
Jeff

Original box , papers reciepts, proof of services from S&W , this is a 5" model?

If all above , finish is good , 1K would not be an out of this world price .

PICs are a must ??

You really should just keep it. You put too much money into it and it's just a loss. You will regret the sale. Why not just save up for the 1911? Then you'll have two competition guns to shoot.

+1 ... it is a mistake to compare wheelguns to semi-autos like this. I would way rather have the S&W than the Baer, especially after having S&W do all that great work on it.

yeah, keep the 625 and get the les baer you will kick your self later on if you let it go.

I kick my self all the time.

Agreed , keep it , I have calluses on my back side !!LOL

Don`t keep it written down ,but can tell ya every firearm I wish I had`nt sold , ALL OF EM !!

7-800 price range is spot on in this neck of the woods for private party sale. Maybe 900 if you want to look at it for a long time.

The trigger I am sure is nice but keep in mind we rarely get the value out of the "custom" work we put into guns, and Smith factory service is likely high relative to what a local smith who may be just as good would charge. What is the custom leather holster? The other add on stuff you have with it is the sort of stuff that sweetens that deal but adds little value to most gun buyers, if you really want to maximize your return sell the gun and other bits individually.

To Forum,
Wow, lots of great suggestions and help on the price. To be honest, I really do love the gun. Shooting it brings joy and smiles. Might just have to keep it and and save, save, save for the LB. I would have to hide the JM from my wife

Gentlemen,
Thanks,
J.Scudder

I had the Master Revolver Package performed on my M22, and other than the chamfered charge holes, can't really tell much difference in the feel or performance. I had backed-out the strain screw a little when the gun was new, and other than the gun coming back with the strain screw tight, it feels the same as it did. It lit only 90% of the rounds when new, and still lights only 90% unless I use Federal primers.

Sounds like that Smith is your soul mate.
Trust me, don't ever send your soul mate packing.

Mine was a Colt OMM in 38, and its twin in 22 cal
