Jeweled Sideplate Screws?

Has anyone thought about polishing, anodizing, or jeweling the sideplate screws of your revolver? I think that it might look interesting to swap out some blued screws or colored screws for the plain stainless ones on a stainless revolver. Any thoughts? It seems like another way to personalize a revolver other than engraving and adding custom grips. :)

I've seen a few over the years with gold or nickel plated parts, including screws. Colt offers heat blued screws as a Custom Shop item, on single actions.

The plate screws on most DA revolvers are really too small to jewel and have it show.

I stole an idea I saw in Weigand's page of polishing the screw heads. It really looks good on a matte stainless gun and adds a little contrast.

Stoic, I just removed the screws, put a dab of Flitz or Simichrome on the head and took a few passes with my Dremel. Nice and shiny.
