Jetfire reliability?

Just wondering what experiences anyone has had with the Beretta Jetfire. I've had terrible luck with Tomcats. Is the Jetfire as prone to jamming, misfeeds, broken firing pins, and the alleged "1000 round lifespan"? I relize .25 is smaller than .32, and less potent (if .32 is to be coonsidered potent) but was curious. Also, what's a good price for a new Jetfire?

THanks

I have owned two jetfires in the past. One was a .25ACP with matte finish. It was extremely reliable with everything I fed it. I shot it alot, very durable. Most recently, within last 2 years, I acquired one in .22 short. Again, no reliability issues with a variety of ammo. I rate them as about best of the breed. I think the safety is a plus in a tiny pocket gun. I wish they would make these in .22LR though!! Good luck.

The Jetfire...

...has been the most reliable of the Tiny Pocket Autos that I've ever owned or fired. I can't recollect a single malfunction I've ever experienced with either of the ones I've owned or any of the ones I've sampled.

My Tomcat (which has been an unusually reliable example of a gun not known for its' reliability) has had stoppages when shot to the point that it was absolutely filthy (50-75 rounds of Blazer in this little blowback-operated gun will crud it right up), but I've put 2 50-round boxes of ball through my Jetfire at one sitting, then fired off the old magazine of XTP or Gold Dot JHP carry ammo through the dirty gun and not had a bobble. You might be able to tell that I'm very impressed with the Jetfire. ;)

In my experience the Jetfire is about as jam free a pistol as you can get. Mine was 100% with everything I tried. Do a search and you'll find a lot of info on this model (99.9% positive). I traded mine in on a P-32 which has been great also, but if you want a 25acp the Jetfire is the way to go.

I've had mine since Christmas. IT has been great! I'm glad I bought it. THe deciding factor for me was that this model has been out and available for a LONG time and most of the feed back re: 950 Jetfire has been positive. There is a lot to be said for long term reliability! :)

I've owned two. The first one was a dud that literally shot itself apart (the pins would all walk out). Returning it to Beretta failed to fix the problem, so I sold it at a loss. Later I decided to get another one, and that one was reliable. I eventually sold it however, as I didn't feel warm and fuzzy about a .25 for defense and bought a Kel-Tec P32 .32ACP instead.

Mine has been perfect. Some friends and I put 4-500 through it at the range in one day. 250 of CCI BLazer and a few misc. boxes, no cleaning, very few cooling breaks, and no malfunctions whatsoever. (after my brother's .32 guardian jammed for the 7th or 8th time, he put it up, took the jetfire and told me to go shoot my new P99 while he shot something that worked.) Not expecting much but a plinker when I got it, this gun really impresses me and is a constant companion.

Never had a failure to feed/eject anything except American Eagle FMJ. I had to hand load all 50 one-by-one 'till the box was finished.
Rounds I have fired through it are Hornady Expanding Point, Fiochhi FMJ, Blazer FMJ, Glazer, and Rem. FMJ.

Never had a jam with a jetfire and multiple types of ammunition. The CCI gold dot , Hornady xtp and ww pellet nose would actually expand in wet pack - velocities in the 900 - 1000 range. The .22 short Minx got through 200 rounds of cci greentag before it tied up even once. The long rifle bobcat would jam every box or so.

I'm on my second Jetfire, an Inox model after an older blue version, and I have yet to see a failure. Very impressive reliability, and pretty good accuracy for a gun of that size...especially considering the tiny sights. I can rapid-fire a magazine into the head zone of an IPSC target as fast as I can work the trigger. Great little gun, probably the most reliable mouse gun out there.

I have shot a friends , about 100 rounds . The gun was 100%
reliable, no jams . And he had shot it before many times and
said it was great. Jetfires are one of the best Pocket Guns imo.
