Jericho 941 Magazine question

Yeah I read that, but I found it confusing

4. Baby Eagle mags WORK in CZ-85 Combats and in 75Bs, but will NOT work in a pre-B CZ75.

The list doesn't mention reciprocal compatibility. Also, is the baby eagle, Uzi eagle, baby desert eagle, Jericho 941 all the same gun in that they take the same mags? From what I understand, they are all Jericho 941 guns, but imported by 2 different companies currently- Magnum Research and IWI. The magnum research guns are stamped baby eagle and have the slide mounted safety/decocker, making it the Jericho 941R.

I can't seem to find a definitive answer, but can CZ75 magazines work in the Jericho 941?
Do you already have thge cz mags or are you looking to buy some? The reason I ask is if you are buying there are witness mags. These are slightly longer than cz mags and I would think they would work in the baby eagle. I have a baby eagle mag and a witness mag and length looks to be identical. My cz mags will barely lock in my witness because they are slightly shorter. Mecgar makes witness mags too http://gregcotellc.com/cart/eaa-witness-sar-k2-b6p-mecgar-c-134/eaa-witnesstanfoglio-sf-springfield-p9-9mm-17-rd-mgwit9sfafc-p-1087.html

You cannot find a definitive answer because there isn't one. IWI has changed the Jericho numerous times over the years (slide mounted safety, frame mounted safety, compact polymer version, etc.). Likewise, the CZ line isn't exactly standardized either. Magazines for some Witness models will work in some CZ models, and some will not. The CZ forum should start a sticky thread covering what magazines will work in what guns for the pattern lol

Older CZs (the early pre-B models) had a narrower area at the top of the mag channel (where the mag rides). Many of the mags for Witnesses, Baby Eagles, etc., from their earlier years would work but newer ones wouldn't -- nor would many Mec-Gar mags for CZs, etc..

10 and 15-round CZ mags would almost always work in a pre-B, but anything larger might not. Some 16-round mags from Tanfoglio-guns would work in a pre-B.

Using a flat file to open up that area of the inside grip frame will generally get the newer, fatter mags to work in a pre-B, and I suspect the same sort of adjustment would work in a Jericho. It's not a lot of work and it could save you a lot of money when buying mags.

My CZ 75B mags fit in my Jerichos polymer, medium and full size.
IWI USA imports the Jericho line made in Israel by IWI. Magnum Research has been one of the importers of the IWI and probably IMI made Jericho line, under the brand name of Baby Eagle. Not any more. Magnum Research currently imports the Baby Eagle III, made in Israel by BUL.
All the Jericho pistol line made by IMI or IWI share the same magazines regardless the brand names they got here.

Thanks for the replies. I know it is not recommended by IWI, but if it works well then why not. I just bought 10 new cz75b mags from brownells for $17 shipped after their coupon. What the heck, if it doesn't work, I'll just shop around for a cz75:D

If those were factory mags, you got a fantastic! deal. If they were Mec-Gars (the maker of 75B OEM mags), the deal was also fantastic.

If they were Pro-Mags, less so. But... at that price you can afford to replace the mag springs, the main problem people have with Pro-Mags in a CZ -- and still come out with a pretty good deal.

Good luck with the mags.
