jc higgins model 20

i am about to dissasemble a model 20 for cleaning and this gun is a first for me and it has never been apart for a long overdo cleaning
anything going to fly out as i take it apart ?
any tips appreciated:

I dont have one of those in particular, but no gun should have parts that fly out. Just don't take apart the trigger mechanism, thats where things will fly out:) you can take it out, just don't take it apart.

It's the same basic design as a High Standard Flite King. There's an exploded drawing in the thread at http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=201263 . Field stripping it is similar to field stripping a Mossberg 500 in some ways, the main difference in the designs being that the bolt in your gun locks up into a recess in the top of the receiver like a Winchester Model 12 and the barrel is fixed, while the Mossberg bolt locks up into the extension of the removable barrel. Of course, the safety on your gun is a crossbolt design not a top tang slider. See http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/FIREARMS/mossberg_500.pdf for the Mossberg 500 owner's manual.

This book has illustrated instructions for field stripping the Flite King - http://shop.collect.com/product/the...irearms-assembly-disassembly-part-v-shotguns/ .

It's a great gun, IMHO the slickest pumpgun out there when it's properly cleaned and lubed.
