This is a linkless camming system that mates w/a block at the back of an integral guide rod. jarvis-custom.com/barrels.htm Since I plan to build a 1911 from the ground up. Already have slide and Al alloy frame cut for a ramped barrel, I'd like to determine if it will be worth spending the extra and getting this at $200 + $125 installation (probably more since I'm wanting to install a cone comp). Was planning to get a Clark ramped & threaded barrel $125 and installing it myself. Don't know yet if Jarvis has FFL pricing, but I'd probably end up having to spend the extra to have them fit it since I am not familiar w/instalation of this type.
1. What have been your experiences w/it?
2. Is it worth the extra $?
3. Reliability and accuracy in comparison to a standard barrel all else being equal?
