OK, I got called out and couldn't reply to this yesterday.

Donny gave a post reply to The Jane Fonda Question quoting the 14th Ammendment to the Constitution of the United States. He says that she could not hold office because of her North Vietnam involvements.

Now this makes me wonder how William Jefferson Clinton became President after his Vietnam protest on Russian soil of his country. I don't see a difference. Can someone help me out on this one?

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

Or was this story just some right-wing conspirisy to discredit Klinton?

I have always been told this story, does anyone have a copy of it?

Amendment 14, Section 3:

Essentially, if enough of Congress is traitors, we can have a traitor for prez. This Amendment was ratified in 1868, after the greatest collective act of treason in US history. Big surprise (not).

Neither Fonda nor Klinton would be affected by the above as they had not taken the oath as officers or office holders.

Still get em for treason, aiding and comforting the enemy etc tho.

The real difference, is that there are witnesses to the fact(??) that she committed treasonous acts against officers, and NCO's of US Armed Forces, directly resulting in their torture, and sometimes deaths, as the story goes.

This can't be said for the bulbous-nosed one.
While I do believe he has more than surpassed her for his treacherous acts against the American Republic, and it's security. That has yet to come to term, as no one Judge, or Representative Body agent has seen fit to follow up on their task to punish him.

It matters little where they did their protests, she was caught on film, which she loved to do, she's a narcissist, and survives on the camera, regardless of who's story line is being told.

My read on the 14th though, No person shall be a (my words)"political officer".---shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.

Did she not aid the NVC in the capture of information the prisoners, US Armed Forces soldiers, gave her to pass to the outside, that led to their torture, and deaths of some?

Does this not fit the definition as described in the 14th Amendment?

would be more approiate. We do not need to
glorify the former Mrs. Turner at all. Hell,
I refused to watch T.V. stations owned by that communist loving son of a ______!!! :D

:confused: My ex-boyfriend was in Vietnam toward the end of the war. He was a Sgt in the Marine Core recon. According to him, last year when this topic came up because the Tour of Duty series is playing on TNT, I asked him his opinion because I'd always heard bad.
He said that Jane was young, she had no consultants to tell her what to do or not to do. Her intentions were sincere & she made a mistake & apologized for it. He had more to say toward her side & believes every bit of it. An opinion from Alan in Maui, HI "1st one in, last one out".
