Any one ever have jamming problems with Star model B 9MM on fully ejecting and trying to put another in the chamber. Cures???????????????

It is a Model B, and not a Star Super B, or a Model B in .38Super or .38Largo, right?

There are a few types of jams. Your description doesn't clarify which you have.

I haven't had a feeding jam in my model B, but I have had the case stovepipe on me once or twice: new ejector and new springs solved that.

Read the above links, and ask questions on the second link.

I don't claim they are completely accurate, but I don't know as much as they do.

Good luck!

My Star BM jamming problems were solved with a new extractor. When compared side-to-side, the old one had considerable wear.

I don't know where you would get one. My source, Iparguns, is now out of business.

I've not had any problems with the two Stars I own, however, when I received my Super B it was absolutely caked in cosmoline. I ran it under near boiling water for a while then sprayed the whole thing down in WD-40 to get the water out. I would make sure your extractor is clear and free of any cosmo, looks to be intact and that the spring is still good. Luckily, it is said that external extractors are easiest to work on. Good luck!

Always check the magazines as a general rule. Mine shoots almost all FMJ and most but not all JHPs. Also no +P ammo. Usually springs first then extractors.

Funny enough I was reading the following article today. The Russians captured a lot of them after the war, disassembled and stock piled the parts. Parts that were prone to breaking were replaced like the extractor. The Russians stamped out new parts expecting them to all fit the same. They didn't. Check to see if the blue on the extractor is different from the rest of the gun; if it is....it's a Russian part.
