J stevens/savage 425

I was told that the .30 remington rounds are obsolete and can be expensive. I have about twenty of them. Also have 1/2 box empties, can i get them reloaded stiĺl ? I dont want to use it if i cant .

30Rem is a rimless 30/30. Dies are available. The only Rem cartridge out of this series to
survive is the 35Rem. Brass is scarce but can be found. There are quite a few guys still shooting them in Rem m8 & m14. Actually the 30Rem is easier to find than 25 & 32. The line was to compete with Win 25/35-30/30-32w. Win had no opposite for the 35Rem.

Not really obsolete, maybe just a bit surpassed nowadays. Blame the .300 savage for it's demise.

A lot of empty brass got used up in the early 80's
by Dornaus/Dixon in the development of the Bren Ten.
That, combined with Remington's dropping the cartridge from it's line-up a few years later,
led to the 'perfect storm' of a shortage of cases for the re-loader.

Buck a case, but that is about the going rate for any
2nd tier (relatively uncommon brass made overseas in one of the 'ias') new brass case anyway.
