J Stevens Model 258A 20 Guage bolt action

Just wondering when these were made.

I got this from my step-father when I was 12 or 13 (early 80's), I used it for pheasant, ducks, and geese growing up in ND. I know it was old (relative term )then, because he said he got it when he was a teenager.

Is there any sourec for parts for these? Mine still works fine, except for the ocasional misfeed (weak spring in the magazine - I think).

Thanks for any info, I searched on google and didn't get much.

Dave, the Stevens Model 258 shotgun was manufactured from about 1937-1965. For replacement parts I would recommend contacting the people at either Numrich Gun Parts Corp. or The Small Arms Shop. Hope this helps!
