Had this gun for years, my grandfather passed it down to me and I'm looking to find out more about it. It has Flussa-Stahl and Krupp-Essen engraved and on the side it has a tree with the words marke-tanne engraved under it....serial number on the gun is 84272

Were gonna need a little more info on the gun, such as is it a rifle, shotgun, pistol, type of action i.e. bolt, side by side, semiauto. along with caliber or gauge. and if at all possible I have found that pictures are truly worth a thousand words.

J.P. Sauer & Sohn has been around since the 1700's and has made just about every type of small arm (and some not so small).

The markings indicate the barrel metal is fluid steel (solid steel, not Damascus), made by Krupp. Good pictures of the gun and the proof marks might help identify and date it.
