Well I went into J&G this morning to buy a CZ 52.I have been doing business with them for about 14 yrs now.I went to the counter and dropped my drivers license and my CCW card on the counter and told the clerk what I wanted and he went back and got one.I checked it over and said ok give me 4473 and I will fill it out.He then looks at my license and CCW card and asks me if I had any ID with my phsical address on it.I said no there is no mail delevery there and the state will not accept it as a address. He then informed me that he would not sell me the gun and that I had to have a ID with pysical address on it.Well I have about 6 IDs in my wallet and all PO Boxs.My name is their computer with my address but I can't buy the gun!I told him where he could place the gun and if not physicaly possible I would be happy to use my boot as a hammer. This is the last time I do any business in there.I took there bull when we had to show IDs for ammo but this is way too far out of line.Bottom line J&G sucks so remember that when you choose to order from a company. This is place is not your best choice.

You see Beemerb, they have to have your physical address so they will know where to come to get it when they want it! I agree it sucks, but the ffl was probably just covering his butt. Thing is if you're a previous buyer that's no way to treat you. I hardly ever buy from a dealer anymore. Found a small sporting goods shop with an ffl and buy mine on line then ship it through him. He usually charges me between 15-20 to handle the transaction but I figure I'm doing my part to help him keep open. CZ 52 is an easy find on line.

To be treated like that after 14 yrs of doing bus there sucks.Probably spent 10,000 in there during that time.No more.I have a CZ 52 coming and will be here tommorow.

I would have been next to be served behind Bob, got to hear and see the whole thing. It was truly a crock, they have the physical address in the computer and their hard copies of over a decade of 4473s. Like Bob, I carry no id with correct physical address. I was allready a little upset with their ammunition controls and this was the last visit for me. I would have been next as I wanted to buy two cheap scopes. I can do without them.

Nikita Khrushchev predicted confidently in a speech in Bucharest, Rumania on June 19, 1962 that: " The United States will eventually fly the Communist Red Flag...the American people will hoist it themselves."

I also do business with J&G and I also don't have a physical address in the normal sense. I merely present my voter registration card from Apache County which shows my physical address (1/4 mile southwest of the junction of highway xx and highway xx). They copy this along with my ID and ccw permit and we're all happy. By the way, Prescott is a five hour drive for me but I just love all the gun shops there.

Rumor has them being the BATF, I have often wondered about their operation, and the ammo requirements.

They seem to have considerable access to LEO trade-ins.

The times that I have been in there, I sure got a negative feeling from the place.

Last time I was in J&G they just bought a fully auto .50 cal M2 for the owners and staff to play with. The gun just arrived and was on the counter- quite a toy. Seems like their selection of quality guns is way down.
