J frame parts

Gang, can you guys help? I am trying to find one of the super flat cylinder latches as offered on the early centennial models. I simply want this to lend some individuality to my 342. I can't locate one, have tried S&W. Any ideas other than buying on old centennial? Thanks, Dave.

Try Gun Parts Corp., but I really wouldn't hold my breath. There just weren't that many guns made with the flat latch.

Try contacting your local gunsmiths. They may have one at hand. If you can find out who disassembles guns for court order destruction, they may have a box o' parts.

Let me know if you can't find anyone locally. I have a friend in Canada who does this for numerous LE agencies and he sends a lot of parts into America.
