J frame holster fit Charter Arms Bulldog?

I found an old S&W brand holster chart online and it says a 3" J frame holster will fit the CA Bulldog. They also recommended the same size holster (xx 6x) for the CA Undercover, which is made on a smaller frame. Maybe one's a little loose, and one's a little tight.

Anyone using a CA BD in a 3" J frame holster?

Didn't think a J frame holster will work well with a Bulldog. But on a tip I read somewhere, I ordered a Theis Holsters Hybrid IWB holster made for a Ruger SP101, and it fits my DAO Buldog almost like it was made for it. I'm sure the Kydex could be heated up a little, and reformed slightly to fit it even better, but it's good to go as is. Just the very back of the trigger guard is out of the holster, and forming the Kydex about a quarter inch deeper would change that.

Only Bulldog I've ever played with was the original Charter Arms my boss had in the shop. Was too big for a 'J' frame anything. More 'K' frame size, as I recall.

Mine doesn't.

I guess maybe an all leather holster has more give. My leather/Kydex hybrid for my LCR wasn't even close for my Bulldog. But as mentioned, one made for a SP 101 works quite well.

Yes, and when I contacted him about the SP101 holster working for my Bulldog he told me he didn't know. Never tried, and he didn't have a dummy gun or actual Bulldog to use. But if it didn't work he would gladly refund my money.
Straight up guy, and pretty darn classy operation!
