J.C Higgins rifles?

My dad and uncle are in town and we got to talking about guns, and they were trying to tell me about some old J.C. Higgins rifles and shotguns from the 40's-50's. Anybody know where I can find a site or some pics?

I tried the search feature here but it is off. General internet searches turn up nothing.

Steve, J. C. Higgins was a trade name used on firearms sold by Sears, Roebuck & Co. To know the actual manufacturer you would have to know the specific model in question since Sears contracted with many different manufacturers for their firearms. Hope this helps!

I have an old J.C. Higgins .22 that I inherited from my father. Let me know if you find anything out about them! I'd be interested to hear!
