I got an old trailsman 66 eight shot .22 revolver from a buddy but it needs a new cylinder cause he dry fired the heck out of it. These seem to be hard to come by. Does anyone have any idea where i might find one? It looks like it would be a fun gun to plink with.

Is it out of time? These are pretty simple little guns and hard to believe it is useless from dryfiring. The chambers could be cleaned up rather easily with a little mechanical ingenuity. I have one and it's accurate and fun to shoot. As long as the hammer isn't broke. Too bad

the star is worn and it is out of time, but also from dry firing the cylinder has worn out and has dings in it from the hammer. The hammer is mushroomed out but fixable, so said a local gunsmith. He cant find a cylinder either. the pings are so bad it wont fire a 22 cartidge cause it doesn't pinch it enough.
