Iver Johnson .25ACP

Kentucky Rifle

I found a tiny auto pistol that I might be interested in. It's a NIB Iver Johnson .25ACP. Does anyone know anything about it? Value?
I have no idea how old it is.

Thanks,
Will

Mendacity is the system we live in.

Will, I'm aware of a few different models of semiautomatic pistols that were made by Iver Johnson and chambered in .25 ACP. They are as follows:

Pocket Pistol (TP Series) - chambered in either .22 LR or .25 ACP. It was double action, 3" barrel, 7-shot finger tip extension magazine, black plastic grips, fixed sights, with either a blued or matte finish. Originally produced from 1985-1986 and reintroduced 1988-1990. In excellent condition it could be worth about $125-$145. A slight premium would be added for one with a nickel finish.

AMAC-22/25 Compact - chambered in either .22 Short or .25 ACP. It was single action, 2" barrel, 5-shot magazine, checkered plastic grips, fixed sights, blued slide & matte blued frame with color-casehardened trigger. Produced from 1991-1993. In excellent condition it could be worth about $135-$165. A slight premium would be added for one with a nickel finish.

Silver Hawk - stainless steel version of the TP-series. Produced from 1990-1993. In excellent condition it could be worth about $185-$215.

Hope this helps!

After today, its all historical

WLM, this sounds like the Firearms Int'l VB Model I picked up the other day. Mine was really gritty until I got it apart finally, cleaned the innards and took some fine sandpaper to the inside, it is much smoother will shoot it this week sometime.

This has nothing to do with an Iver Johnson
.25 caliber handgun; but they made a semi-
auto called the TP22 (.22LR caliber) that
was an outstanding, inexpensive, dependable
firearm. Unfortunately, extra magazines for this little gun were (and are) extremely hard
to find and are very expensive!!! Mine
was stolen during my wife's carjacking back in 1994. :(

My brother has a IJ TP22. It's a great shooting little gun. He'll kill rats with
it while he is bush-hogging the fields when
the run. I'd love to find a TP22EB. That was the TP22, with an extended, threaded barrel
from the factory. My brother paid $100.00
buck for his, but got it from a friend.
