I have an Iver Johnson tp-25acp that has feed problems. Has anyone else had this problem? I am wondering if polishing the feed ramp wouldn't help, but not sure how to go about it. Any advice?

If you are using ammo with any kind of bullet except FMJ, I would try FMJ. Feeding problems on that gun can be due to the magazine as well. Polishing the feed ramp can be done the same as any other pistol, with fine emery paper and patience. Don't use a motor tool, just the finger.

Gun Parts Corp (www.gunpartscorp.com) shows magazines available at about $26.

I was using hollow points. I also tried some fmj from Aguilar, but had several FTFs even with multiple strikes. After about 5 I threw the rest of that box away. I really like the pistol, but it does need to be reliable. I will try to polish the feed ramp and switch to fmj as the hollow points probably aren't a good idea in that caliber anyway.

What ammuntion works best for you?
