I went and bought on e of these pistols over the weekend and tried it out- well most of the time it works, but it soft strikes the primer often resulting in a misfire. I can get the rounds to fire on a second strike which leads me to believe I have a worn-down firing pin. Does anyone have one I can buy from you or know of a gunsmith in the Tucson area that could fix the issue for me? I really like the gun, and it goes really well with my pre-war Remington model 34 .22 and my Ithaca Western Long Range Gun 12ga. SXS.

Second, is there anyone out there with the Iver Johnson book that could tell me the mfg date of my pistol? The serial is L 92XX...

While at the gunshow, my car pool found a Iver Johnson TP-25 25acp in excellent condition for $75.

Later I helped fabricate a firing pin for that pistol, and it still has light strikes.
