...and not .50BMG. I don't have twenty five hundred bucks to toss right now.

Does anyone make something along the lines of a compact carbine in .50AE? I'm thinking something with a 16" barrel.

Not QUITE what I had in mind, but thanks for the input. Geez, everybody's gotta get into the act. LOL

The only .50AE carbine I can find is the Tromix AR upper receiver. Problem is, it costs more than a typical AR, and I dont' have an AR lower to put it on. :(
 
Do you have a spare AR15 lower? http://www.tromix.com $865 for a .50AE AR15 upper, uses .223 magazines (I think it needs a follower change) so you get like 7 shots per 20 round .223 magazine.
