I've decided on a new carry gun...

I just wish Kahr would make it! After seeing Keltec P32s and Kahr P9s at this weekends gunshow, I've decided I want a Kahr MP9 (that would be a polymer MK9). ARE YOU LISTENING, KAHR?

Nope, thats the P9. It's a full-size Kahr. The MK is the sub-compact model, but it's steel (heavy).

How about a PMK9 with a repeat striker capability like those from Taurus -- a concealed but external hammer would also be nice.

This seems to be a popular idea. Check out the Scott, McDougal and Assoc. web page at www.colt380.com
They feature a modified P9 where the frame is shortened to the MK9 length and uses the MK9 magazines. Although I think Kahr should make the same gun. Mark / FL

Shoot if Glock made a single stack 9mm the size of a G26 (just thinner like the Kahr) I'd buy it.

I've been begging Kahr for MONTHS to make a P40! They continue to respond that a polymer .40 is NOT in the future offerings, but I believe an MP9 may be.

I've said the same thing BB did, almost. I wish Glock would offer up a single stack .40, about the same length and height as the 27, but slimmer, and LOTS of folks would be all over it!

Now, I've got to disagree with the MK9 being "heavy". My wife's carry gun is the MK9, and it's not, in either of our opinions, heavy. My Kahr P9 is a bit lighter, but there's no huge difference. Once you move up the the "full size" (relative term) Kahr K9, it's a little on the hefty side, and all the .40 offerings, K40, and even the MK40, are a tad on the boat anchor side. A full sized K40 is almost the same empty weight as my HK USP 45!

Ah, but compare the weight of the MK9 to a titanium snubbie, or a Kel-Tec. You'll definately feel the difference, and since this would be a CCW gun lighter is better.
