I've been bitten by the nostalgic military rifle bug

Some time back, I bought an M1A with a synthetic stock, and last night I was at the GS, and wound up buying a Mosin-Nagant and an M1 Garand. That Garand is absolutely gorgeous, a sleek, sexy work of art, in my opinion. The Nagant is no slouch either, just a little more world-worn. The M1 was born or re-barreled in '52, and the Nagant in '32, I think. If those rifles could talk...

Welcome to the club.

Now you should get with the Civilian Marksmanship Program and learn about your new found love.

They sell surplus rifle and accessaries including ammo, mag puches, bayonets, etc etc.

PLUS you can learn about the GSM (Garand, Springfield, Vintage Military) AS ISSUED Rifle programs, including clinics and matches.

Those old war horses can shoot if one takes the time to learn how to use them.

I too just got an M1a Loaded with syn stock. Tell me more about your M1A. How does your it shoot? Reliable? Any issues?

Thanks much,

Jerry

Haven't shot it yet, Jerry, haven't even picked it up, actually, but when I do, I'll post here about it. Can't wait to shoot all of those bad boys.
