Ithica featherlight

I have an Ithica featherlight 20 guage pump that has a broken sight bead bracket.
Any hints on repair?
The barrel looks too thin to weld.

I have to assume that you're referring to the front sight base,and a decent smith can silver solder one on in a jiffy.
