No actual experience with the "Deerslayer Model I, II, or III"
BUT have three M37 with the "Deerslayer" barrels.
THe specific model you're asking, I believe has the barrel permently attech to the receiver for better accuracy and the scope mounts directly to the receiver top. I presume the barrel is a rifled barrel which allows the maximum accurcay of the SABOT shell.
An early summer issue of the American Rifleman magazine, had article about the
20ga SABOT shell now the "equal" of the 12 ga and maximum range in 200 yds.
I'll just use my smoothbore barrel and the Brenneke slugs.
