Got an ithaca outside hammer receiver from a friend, who was won it in an auction, but couldn't figure out what to do with it.
Has a set of barrels, that don't go with this gun. No stock or forend, but the receiver and internals are complete minus hammers.
The screws are all messed up.
Serial numbers are from 1893, if I read the chart right.
I'm hoping to build a functional double with it, maybe in 38-55 or similar old cowboy round. Hell, maybe 45 colt.
Main problem is fitting the barrels. Unlike most SxS shotguns I've done the conversion on, that have the bar under the watertable, this one has a weird concave piece of steel. Getting the bottom part of the monoblock is going to be super tricky.
Will upload pictures later, but I'm considering milling this part out, as I can't see what function it provides, then putting in a cross bar like other SxSs.
